The Pear Tree

I’m almost averse to letting you in on this little secret. The archetypal old man boozer gone posh, the Pear Tree is the kind of pub that you turn up to on a snowy Sunday afternoon, book yourself in for a large bottle of merlot and a cheese board or two and leave 8 hours later. Surely one of the last pubs left with curtains, they haven’t gone all Town & Country instead welcoming drinkers with rickety mis-matched chairs, buckets of charm and cosy corners. Brilliant for the third or fourth ‘drinking’ date.
