With over 7 years’ experience in the heli ski industry, we know our stuff when it comes to Canada. The perks of visiting are endless. Whether you’re interesting on hopping on the Rocky Mountaineer for an adventurous train journey through the Rocky Mountains, skiing the light, fluffy powder on the slopes of British Columbia or visiting beautiful Vancouver, Canada has it all.
With a combined ski area of 8,000 acres of accessible terrain, the ‘Big 3’ of Mount Norquay, Sunshine Village in Banff and Lake Louise are a wonderful introduction to skiing in Canada. Especially good for beginners, Sunshine and Lake Louise boast wide, open slopes that are completely different to those of Europe (mainly in the fact that there are hardly any people on them to bump into!). Throw in the beautifully quaint Kicking Horse and Revelstoke which are both excellent for freeriders and you have yourself the perfect ski break. Heli skiing is also available here. Please ask for further details.
Alternatively, how about a Vancouver adventure? Easily one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Hop on a bike and explore Stanley Park, 1,000 acres of beaches, tennis courts and botanical gardens in the morning before taking the ferry to Granville Island for the afternoon. For those looking for more adventure, go ziplining on Grouse Mountain whilst you look out for grizzly bears. Vancouver boasts an amazing array of restaurants with a particular credit for fantastic Asian cuisine (be sure to visit Richmond Night Market to try oysters from Vancouver Island when you’re there). For the ultimate end to the trip, why not surprise your other half with a seaplane adventure over the city in North America’s largest and first fully carbon neutral airline.
