AHURIRI VALLEY
This luxury lodge is an architectural gem that is nestled in New Zealand’s South Island. Described as a place where Star Wars meets Lord of the Rings, the lodge is designed to blend seamlessly into the landscape, two hours from Queenstown deep in the Ahuriri Valley. There are just eight suites (some of these are self-contained pods with your own private terrace and hot tub to gaze at the stars) so expect a real ‘away from it all’ feel here. There are offroad buggy tours, fly-fishing, gliding, e-bikes and private helicopter tours as well as their own stables with 16 horses to venture out to the wilderness on.
