The Orange in Pimlico should be your first port of call when the parents are up in town. Set in the chocolate-box surroundings of Chelsea, expect dachschunds and local Sloanes doing their local shop in the Daylesford Organic opposite and settle into this gastropub with restaurant, safe in the knowledge that the service and food will be spot-on. With a great menu of English classics (parsnip and apple soup followed by Middle White pork belly), you can settle in with a good bottle of rosé. It’s all a smart Chelsea eaterie should be. It gets packed with Friday night drinkers so you could book one of their 4 smart bedrooms upstairs for a little respite. Breakfast is a leisurely affair before a spot of shopping on the Kings Road. What a treat.
