You could be lazy and take your parents to Côte. But the last time I went I had 3 children attached to my ankle by the time my cappuccino had arrived. Head round to The Commander on the corner of Westbourne Grove which looks and feels like a french brasserie inside with the added bonus of a gorgeous decked sun trapped garden in the summer months. The food is exceptional but we think it shines more when the sun does; the freshest tuna tartare, crayfish and crab are regular features and are cooked simply but elegantly. In the winter months though they don’t disappoint. It’s great for a long Sunday lunch – moules marinière with sourdough bread and three cheese macaroni with a good bottle of red is exactly what we’d go for.
