We could always rely on good food and a frisson of romance at Kensington’s La Bouchée. Since it closed the South Kensington area didn’t appeal as a gastronomic destination until now. Lucky for us the Wright Brothers have bought their famed seafood to the spot that La Bouchée once sat keeping the decor minimal and fuss-free focussing on the splendidly sweet oysters from their Duchy oyster farm in Cornwall and bountiful fruits der mer. The skate wing with caper butter and whole lemon sole with crab and cucumber are just a snapshot of the dishes on offer. One for fish lovers’.
