Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside which is why Hotel du Vin Brighton comes up trumps when in need of an easy escape from London and a whiff of fresh sea air. With an enviable location on the cobbled streets of The Lanes – Brighton’s oldest part of town and the one they hold most dear to their hearts – it offers perfect respite away from the hustle and bustle of the ever-popular seaside town.
We have to warn of the hen and stags you will encounter but that’s par for the course and you can at least find some respite in the hotel bar and lounge, vine covered pergola and bistro., Hotel du Vin know what guests expect from a boutique hotel but what we really love here are the rooms; whopping great rooms with high ceilings (some with enviable sea views), walk-in showers and free standing baths all make for rather a romantic weekend away. If you’re looking for extra special, be sure to book the Sea View or Cristal Suite with twin roll top baths to impress.
Fish ‘n’ chips on the pier, romantic seaside strolls and with excellent restaurants and delis to explore (Brighton has attracted some of the finest chefs who’ve opened up here in the past few years), it’s fantastic value for money.
