Hacienda de San Rafael

PoolHandily the sunniest capital in Europe, Seville is a fantastic choice for a weekend break, a mere 3 hour flight from London. Flying from London Gatwick or Stansted, once there we’d recommend heading to the former olive grove Hacienda de San Rafael, located in the countryside between Seville and Jerez. Set in tranquil gardens this traditional hacienda-style boutique hotel has been in the Reid family for a century and a half who stylishly made over the family farm having drawn on their time at the Datai in CasitaLangkawi and formerly managing the Groucho Club.

With only 14 rooms you benefit from the ultimate hideaway enjoying three outdoor pools, two bars and their Mediterranean restaurant. Lunch is typically served amongst the bougainvillea-clad gardens. They also have three Casitas with private terraces who share a separate infinity pool. These boast a King bed, separate living area and upstairs siesta zone with additional day beds in your outside “chozita”.

Situated just 45 minutes’ drive from the Bay of Cadiz, the hotel can arrange sailing, kite surfing and surfing lessons. Back at the hotel they can arrange cookery classes, cultural tours, massages and yoga. Please let us know if you’d like to book any of these activities in advanExteriorce.

THE AIR SOFT AS THAT OF SEVILLE IN APRIL, AND SO FRAGRANT THAT IT WAS DELICIOUS TO BREATHE IT
