Your eyes don’t deceive you. The food at Chicken Shop really does start at £4.50 for a quarter of a plump, succulent chicken. Their free–range chicken is cooked on the spit with three sizing options sided with coleslaw, 80-s inspired crinkle cut fries, corn-on-the-cob and buttered avocado salad. Short and sweet and boy does it work. Believe me, it’s worth the trek up North to Kentish Town for this one. Part of the mighty Soho House group who have been keeping happy patrons in fast food with slick service heaven they’ve rolled them out to Holborn, Tooting, St John’s Wood and Whitechapel. Simple goes a long way in such a complicated City.
