We hope our knowledge lends itself to a wide range of panic-inducing scenarios. This post has been borne from another fruitless trip to Topshop recently surrounded by midriff-baring tops and perky, smug teenagers in the midst of festival season. What these young things don’t know is that festival fashion is best kept simple creating an effortless, just-rolled-out-of-bed kind of look. Those festival virgins with their squeaky-clean tents and ill-advised trolley dashes to H&M stick out like a sore thumb.
For those music fans who like to add a little more style to their wardrobe there’s no contest for TROY London, the epitome of country-luxe fashion where elegant fabrics combine with practicality, a must for the smart set when packing those weekend bags. Founded by sisters Lucia and Rosie Ruck Keene in 2014 they’ve delivered the ultimate in luxurious, durable designs. Their collections are inspired by their Oxfordshire upbringing; combining the great British outdoors with our wonderful British heritage from side saddle habits to cavalry uniforms.
One of the finest coats we ever did see. We love TROY’s lightweight summer parka made from 100% British-milled cotton. It’s finished with dry wax to keep you toasty warm when the elements take hold at Wilderness. Designed with a cinched waist and red piping for the fashion-conscious.
TROY London Bullet Bag
Manufactured at the Cambridgeshire production headquarters of Royally Appointed Swaine Adeney Brigg no less, TROY have used the finest British bridle leather for their hand cut, warm chestnut bullet bag stitched and lined in sueded pig skin perfect for throwing over one’s shoulder and still remaining very much on-trend. Hurrah for practicality having worked in a zip pocket, phone pouch and paper slip storage compartment.
TROY London Black Suede Shorts
Aren’t the perfect pair of shorts the hardest thing to find? Look no further with TROY’s real suede shorts lined with 100% cotton and the eluxive elasticated waist to flatter all shapes and sizes. These are ideal for the festival crowd when teamed with a simple white tank top and some trainers (we’re hoping it doesn’t rain). They’re dry clean only but sturdy enough to see you through a partying weekend rolling on hay bales.
TROY London’s Stock Shirt
We adore this embroidered lace stock shirt with draped sleeves. It has the feel of a vintage shirt but has a modern twist to it with delicate lace embroidery on the shoulder and cuffs all in a vintage ivory colour. The cuffs are adorned with mother of pearl buttons and the piped gold trim means the collar and front placket have an instant uniqueness and softness to the overall look making you festival or (trendy) office ready.
This is just a snapshot of the collection so be sure to head to TROY London for all their designs.
We are delighted to offer Mensos subscribers a 15% discount using the code MENSOSCHIC either online or directly when visiting TROY at Wilderness Festival between 6 – 9 August 2015 at The Secret Emporium. Rosie and Lucia will also be serving homemade bramble whisky. Shopping has never looked so appealing.
