A favourite for the Primrose Hill locals, The Engineer is a hearty reliable venue for a great Sunday lunch with the parents. Open for brunch from 10AM, the menu then moves into the Sunday classics; pork belly, pulled lamb leg that’s roasted for hours for that melt-in-the-mouth texture and bone marrow burgers. With sides of mac ‘n’ cheese you’re rather spoilt for choice. Dare I use the term ‘gastropub’ but the odd touch of leather upholstery gives the game away. Expect it heaving with North Londoners who are in the know. It also has a great beer garden so head here when the sun is out and prepare to settle in.
