Drinking in the ‘World’s Best Bar’ doesn’t come cheap. But The Artesian is well worth the extra bob to enjoy the classics of a fine Mayfair evening. Maybe you’re onto that deal breaker date and want to impress this is the one for you. Set in the Langham hotel and designed by the acclaimed late David Collins, the décor certainly does make quite the impression (it’s over the top but restrained – think of a paired back Grace Jones) but it’s the cocktails that leave you speechless.
Innovative drinks come paired with ‘aromatic clouds’ and panda head lanterns sit comfortably top some of the best mojitos in town. They don’t disappoint when you order from the ‘Surrealist’ menu. We had a quails egg aside our whisky for goodness sake but damn, did it taste good. Add in exceptional service and a load of free nibbles. It might cost to sit well but we love some free nuts.
