Head to the canal and the Waterway restaurant for a little frisson of romance. You can eat on the terrace in the summer months (great for people watching) soaking up the waterside rays and work your way through their fresh Summery menu. It’ll be sure to particularly appeal to the lady in your life with beetroot risotto, chargrilled squid, seared scallops and grilled salmon fillet which might also appeal to the waistline. Known for the live music every Thursday means its an excellent date venue if conversation happens to be waning with band serving as a handy distraction. And serving us nicely into the winter months with a cosy wooden restaurant found inside with roaring log fires when the weather turns and winter rolls in.
