The third biggest island in the Mediterranean has plenty to offer, what with year-round sunshine and sandy beaches galore. Cyprus is split into two territories; Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot, with the hotels we work with in the Greek-speaking South. The island is at its best from mid-June through to November. Choose between Cyprus’ airports, Larnaca and Paphos, both just over a four-hour flight from London.

We work with the most luxurious beach hotels on the island, all boasting a heap of culture on your doorstep. Taste the finest Cypriot wines, take a tour of classical ruins or take advantage of the weather and explore by boat. And however you like to relax, Cyprus has it in spades. It’s also particularly good for families with many of the hotels boasting English-speaking kids clubs and all the baby paraphernalia one could need when travelling with children.

You need to be an adrenaline junkie when you travel with kids

Cradled by hills and fronted by ocean, Anassa’s lap-of-luxury location isn’t even the best thing about it. This amazing family friendly hotel has one of Europe’s best spas and an excellent crèche for peace of mind. With swimming pools, a private beach with water sports, restaurants and bar there is stacks to keep you entertained. Furthermore, the hotel provides high chairs, sterilisers, swimming nappies, baby cots and child buggies, so you can pack light for your week away. And whilst the kids are allowed into the lovely indoor spa pool, it’s only until midday making this hotel suitable for families and couples. Additionally, they have qualified English-speaking nannies available every day except Wednesdays, from 4 months to 4 years old.

The unpretentious design hotel Almyra in sunny Paphos is sister hotel to the exclusive Anassa. With a superb spa, Asian-med cuisine, swimming pools and a small beach, there’s plenty to keep you entertained. Additionally, there is lots of space to relax what with the acres of grounds for sunbathing and an adults-only spa. Plus you’re only a 5-minute walk into town if you want to explore. Although it seems like the hotels are predominantly kid-friendly in Cyprus, we think the crèche and babysitting will help add to your peace and quiet.

This contemporary, stylish family hotel is situated in the heart of Pissouri Bay. With its wonderfully clean Blue Flag beach, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a whole host of water sports. The large rooms are airy with elegant sitting areas and spacious bathrooms. Even the balconies are furnished with spectacular views. Dining choices range from the Bacchus Italian or a more international affair at Apollo. With a fabulous 80-metre freshwater lagoon pool, you can head to the beach for water sports including water-skiing, sailing and jet-skiing. Most importantly, if you want to get out and about, the hotel has a courtesy shuttle bus to ferry guests to nearby Limassol.
