You can’t go wrong fusing a restored country house hotel, Angela Hartnett’s cooking and a deliciously accommodating spa. Limewood may be trying to tick a few boxes but they (unlike others) do it all extremely well. With exceptional service they’ve delivered the spa hotel concept with a reassuringly modern twist whilst still keeping the parents (and kids) happy with babysitting services, children’s menus and bikes and scooters for them to whizz about.
Their Herb House spa offers city-slick relaxation with New Forest tranquility with no expenses spared. Their 8 treatment rooms benefit from indulgent heated treatment beds (no more cold toes mid-facial), a hydropool, a rooftop herbary with meditation areas and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The spa sit alongside their Raw & Cured restaurant which unsurprisingly is based on the raw food movement. Don’t be put off by this. Expect delicious and filling lunches of salmon, avocado and parsnip dipping rolls rounded off by a slice of raw carrot cake.
The rooms may be expensive (we’re not fans when breakfast is an additional charge on top of these kinds of prices) but if your budget can’t stretch, hop on the 2 hour train from London and visit the spa for a day pass. Prices start from £165 per person Monday-Friday.
Limewood is offering Mensos Concierge guests a complimentary bottle of champagne when booking an overnight stay. Please contact us directly to book.
