The Gallivant

Set up to be more ‘restaurant with rooms’ The Gallivant is suitable for laid-back, lazy weekends with acres of sandy walks in front of you to return to your elephanty-breathy room. The deck rooms have private decks (no surprise there then) but what they lack in imaginative room names they make up for in views. They also welcome our four-legged friends with open arms; not only will you be met by the over-zealous hotel dog but for £20 any size of dog is welcomed into one of their four pet-friendly Biggest Rooms. With dog bowls, baskets and biscuits provided you’ll have a very happy dog after a day on the beach.

The Sunday Times named The Gallivant one of their top 100 for ‘Hotels for Foodies’ but of course the main cherry is its wondrous location on Camber Sands. All stripped decking and muted greys make for a super cosy weekend with fantastic, locally-sourced food and delicious home-made cake thrown in for tea. With 95% of the hotel menu sourced from within 10 miles of the hotel it’s also a favourite with the ec0-warriors.
