Sure, it was pretty lastminute.com at times (we had to shelve an entire US segment for them due to on-going entry restrictions) but that’s why we love doing this job; working closely with our clients for peace of mind and to deliver (hopefully) mind-blowing itineraries!

I usually keep myself to myself on here but I thought now would be a good opportunity to come out from behind the screen and also introduce myself to my new followers!

My name is Suzy and I’ve been running my travel business Mensos Concierge for the past 7 years specialising in creating unique trips and experiences for my clients. Having worked in travel for the past 17 years (eek that makes me feel old!), I decided to create a one-stop-shop where clients can not only book trips anywhere in the world but also talk to me each time they book, reassured by the fact that they don’t have to repeat themselves on what their likes and dislikes are. It’s amazing how much you learn about clients when you start to look after all their trips, which helps me curate their perfect holidays!

Some clients have been travelling with me since the beginning and I thank you all for your support, especially in the incredibly difficult last 18 months for the travel industry. But, we bounce back regardless and I’m so happy to be booking clients holidays again. It really is one of my favourite things to do!

Built in 1050, the conversion of the 11th century

Built in 1050, the conversion of the 11th century castle into a family-run hotel was a lifelong dream of the Bolza family. The construction of the current Castello began in 1999 by Conte Benedikt, who took over the property from his father who had bought it in a dilapidated state in 1984. Having trained as an architect, he begun his project of restoring the castle attracting the skills of some of the finest craftsmen in the world. Expect heavenly interiors, seamless design and a courtyard to beat all courtyards.

Totally enchanted by the glorious Finca Cortesin. Amazingly this hotel opened in 2009, although the design and architecture leads you to believe it’s been there for donkeys years.

Privately owned, the attention to detail here is simply exquisite. From the hand-painted Alhambra ceiling to the number of staff for each guest, you’ll be treated to 23,000sqm of gardens and 3 pools (including an Olympic sized adult-only one) shared between just 67 suites and private villas.

They have one of the 50 best golf courses in the world a mere 1-minute walk away and special green fees and access to the golf courses in nearby Sotogrande. Alongside a sensational indoor pool, gym and spa for the adults and a great kids club which offers a complimentary 3-hours per day when in season. You can also amuse yourself with nearby hikes, biking, their meditation centre, watersports and tennis courts.

I have been blown away by this place. Utterly private, incredibly spacious and peaceful and yet with 7* service and a sizzlingly cool beach club 🔥
