The White Horse

Situated on the highlight of Norfolk’s Coastal Path, the White Horse is the perfect base if you’re looking for a weekend exploring. With stunning beaches on your doorstep, you can rest assured there’s rarely a walk longer than 50 metres in this part of the world that doesn’t culminate with a pub that exceeds all expectations. Even the village shop looks like it was created for the benefit of a TV show but no, that’s just how these Norfolk residents like to roll.

The White Horse is a bustling central sea-loving site in the centre of it all. They welcome all (cyclists, walkers and even those pesky dog lovers) so if you’re precious on noise or other residents head elsewhere. This is not one for snobbery and you’ll likely be dining alongside plenty of young families out to enjoy the sea air.

Rooms are comfortable but certainly aren’t lavish. Who cares though when you have this vista out the window? Brancaster Brewery has stocked them well, so settle in for a pint and some very posh locally caught grub and head out for the day as there’s lots to do and not nearly enough time.
