Pizza East Portobello

It’s no surprise that we saw Pizza East Portobello opening up in a restored Georgian pub in the middle of Portobello Market. Pizza East were popping up all over town specialising in their wood oven-cooked pizzas and Italian antipasti and springing up in the trendiest of locations. Kentish Town and Shoreditch residents are the lucky other ones to have one on their doorstep and they now are showing Chicago and Istanbul locals how to do pizza (punchy to show up in the windy city with a pizza restaurant but they’ve succeeded once again).

Unsurprisingly pizza is the star of the show and you’re hard pressed to choose just one (we recommend going with a greedy group to get a taste of everything); pork belly, tomato and mushroom is every bit as wonderful as it sounds but you’ll also find veal meatballs with prosciutto and cream alongside the tastiest margherita in town.

Guaranteed to be surrounded by the Notting Hill beautiful people there’s also a little gem of a hidden terrace upstairs seating up to 12 guests. Perfect for a dinner with friends away from the masses.
