It’s worth hopping in the car to pay a visit to The Hind’s Head. This Michelin-starred pub doesn’t mean that Heston meets you at the door with his ‘Doc’ coat on but you can be assured that he’s cooking up a storm in the invention kitchen out the back. Sticking to the classics (veal sirloins and bubble and squeak), they certainly know how to add some panache to a classic pub menu. That’s what gets you a Michelin star.
