A short walk from Notting Hill Gate lies this charming gastropub delight. With a welcoming air (we like anyone who lets a jack russell in), the Hillgate is a great base for a relaxed lunch either watching the rugby or taking stock before you re-hit the shops. They do the classics extremely well and offer lunch for a fiver; burgers, fish pies and small sharing dishes with a Spanish influence. One to impress the mothers-in-law. Especially if they have a furry friend.
