With furniture from Dunhill, stupendous cocktails and bar snacks courtesy of Mark Hix you’d think you might never get in. But with a no reservations policy and a license till 1am (2:30 in their City branch) we’ve found a super cool bar that left their ego at the door.
Nick Strangeway has developed a quirky cocktail list updating traditional favourites; ‘The Avenue’ is a fine example of this combining Four Roses yellow bourbon, Somerset 3 year old cider, passion fruit nectar, orange blossom water and Mark’s grenadine). But for those manlier men, never fear as they also host a range of real ales.
