Looking for lively? Then you’ve come to the right place. St Anton has the party atmosphere and the spectacular snow to be one of Austria’s best loved ski resorts, summing up all that a ski holiday should be. If you can drag yourself from the hangover to the slopes (après ski at the Mooserwirt bar is considered a sport in itself), there are endless pisted runs to explore alongside its neighbouring resorts of Lech, Zürs and Stuben with plenty of terrain suitable for intermediate skiers. Its heritage also packs a punch; Johann ‘Hannes’ Schneider conceived the Arlberg downhill technique in St Anton and some argue it is the spiritual home of après ski. Add to that its reliable snowfall – it’s considered to be one of Europe’s snowiest areas – and its family friendly surroundings and you can see why it remains so popular. With authentic Tyrolean cuisine and significantly better value for money than when skiing in France, it’s a firm favourite of ours for all of our guests.
Situated in the centre of St Anton’s pedestrian zone, only 3 minutes’ walk to the ski lifts, this hotel is ideal in terms of location. With an indoor swimming pool with sauna, steam room and infrared cabin it’s seen as one of the nicest spa hotels in town. They also have a lounge bar with live music and large games room downstairs to keep the whole family happy. Most of the bedrooms have a sitting area as well as balconies with wonderful mountain views.
